Today’s Forecast was a community play that took place in 2016 and 2017.
Today's Forecast was a group project where participants got to explore the concept of weather as emotions through different theatrical techniques, such as puppetry, narration, movement, music and crafts. Within the performance, we focused on the five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell and taste.
Working with a small group over 9 weeks, the three core skills we focused on were building confidence, communication skills and self-awareness. This was an essential experience that we wanted to bring to these young people, who may not have otherwise had the chance to be a part of something such as this.
Supported by East 15 Acting School, The University of Essex and a local SEND School in Essex, we were able to develop and create something truly wonderful.
